Organic foods (fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry) are grown/raised according to a specific set of farming and production practices. They’re made without the use of toxic pesticides, GMOs, antibiotics, artificial growth hormones, sewage sludge or irradiation.
By eliminating as many toxins from your body as possible, inflammation decreases, your skin looks brighter and healthier and because you feel great on the inside it will be reflected on the outside.
How do you know if a food is organic?
READ THE LABEL
The PLU (price look up) code on organic fruits and vegetables is a 5 number code starting with “9.” If the number starts with “8” the item is genetically modified.
A 4 number PLU code means the produce was grown “traditionally” by using pesticides. Since when are pesticides “traditional?!”
(Ironically, the adhesive used to attach the stickers is considered food-grade, but the stickers themselves aren’t edible.) ☺
